This stunning 1930s–1940s Chimayo hand-tailored wool clutch was crafted from an all-wool Chimayo blanket and features a bold Southwest geometric pattern in red, black, and cream. Handmade by skilled artisans in the American Southwest, these early Chimayo purses are prized for their craftsmanship, rarity, and distinctive woven patterns.
The clutch has a fold-over snap closure, interior zip pocket with chain pull, and a smooth satin-like lining. It also comes with its original presentation box, a wonderful collector’s detail rarely still paired with these early pieces.
Condition • Purse is in very good vintage condition with bright colors and no major flaws noted • Satin lining shows expected age-related wear • Box has minor stains/spots but remains solid and presentable
