Antique Pozzoni’s Complexion Powder Brass Tin – c.1895–1912 Art Nouveau Vanity Box / Trinket Jar

This ornate golden vanity jar is an original Pozzoni’s Complexion Powder tin, dating from roughly 1895–1912. These embossed metal “gold puff boxes” were premium containers for Pozzoni’s face powder and are now sought-after pieces of cosmetic and advertising history. 

The round lidded box is made of lightweight brass-tone metal with a warm, aged patina and delicate all-over floral scrollwork in an Art Nouveau style. The knobbed lid lifts off to reveal the original embossed lettering on the inside: “COMPLEXION POZZONI’S POWDER.”

Lovely styled on a vanity, stacked with other tins, or used as a tiny trinket / jewelry box.

Condition
