This authentic Victorian leather collar box, patented in 1888 and made in London, is a stunning example of 19th-century craftsmanship. Made from rich brown leather with embossed markings, this round box was originally used to store detachable collars during travel. A timeless collectible with beautiful patina and character.
The lid features a crest with a lion and unicorn and the word London underneath. The bottom reads “solid leather top and bottom. patent November 13, 1888”. There was also a trademark stamp entitled ‘Western’ and dated 1870.
Included: a collection of antique wooden spools that where found in the box.
